Preparing for The Test

The preparations begin, meaning I have started studying for the test tomorrow. Today was in a way useful because we did a brief review of the new content we did yesterday and what would be on the test. In addition to the recap of yesterday, we were told the specifics of what would be on the test tomorrow; 1-32 slides, Pg. 123-133, and The Allegory of the Cave as well. As I write this Blog, I am working on a Quizlet on the side which usually helps me prepare for a test. Although sometimes I feel as if I study the wrong content, I feel a bit more confident this time around that so long as I create a solid study guide for myself, I may very well succeed in this assessment. That being said, I also fear that since we are not allowed to bring our textbook home, I am not going to retain as much there from my notes which only scrape the top as far as what is covered. Though, luckily, Mr. Schicks Google Slide seems well constructed, so that will surely help me. Besides studying, in class there was some drama, plenty of discussion on the democracy of nations and city states and even the voting system which we have in the United States.

As discussed yesterday, we were instructed to write an essay question which would be used on the upcoming test. As a matter of fact, we were informed that our test (or at least part of it) is going to be during our class time this Thursday. Meaning we have a fair amount of time to study still; though, we expect to receive more information regarding the format of the test soon. Cyber Day; Post Nine

In light of yesterday's assignment, we were instructed today to reflect on our accountability throughout these times of social distancing. This includes: actively participating in social distancing, cleaning ourselves, and giving our best efforts to remain home. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that everyone takes these guidelines too seriously. I've seen plenty of people online going about their normal hangouts with large groups of friends, rather than distancing themselves to slow the spread. Weeks ago, we were struggling to perform tests. Now it seems that the FDA approval time has been expedited for the purpose of introducing faster COVID-19 testing kits as well as possible vaccines. There seems to be a lot of de-regulation occurring to allow businesses to survive in such a harsh time. Simply put, if no-ones out there spending money, the economy will not grow (or will have very little growth). As a student, I find myself more stressed out than usual since I'm locked

Today, rather than a deep analysis of a new subject, we were instead instructed to find two images of classical Greece Architecture. A subject which I truly enjoy learning about. Those images are posted directly below:  First Image: The Parthenon, Acropolis of Athens Likely one of the most recognizable structures in Greece would be the massive structure located on the hill of Acropolis, The Parthenon. This structure was likely created over an eleven-year span (447 BC - 438 BC) and was dedicated to the goddess Athena. The structure, incredibly after over 2,000 years still remains intact; though somewhat damaged from the years of exposure it's been put through. It is also important to realize that this structure stood as a symbol for the religions which the Greeks practiced since it represented one of their goddesses'.
