A Brief Recap; Then New Content

In Western Civilization, we focused on summarizing the stuff we had learned lately, this comes after we had the weekend to forget about the Pop Quiz we had on Friday regarding Greece. Over the weekend I felt as if my interest in Greece slightly fainted yet I'm sure it will start up very soon. I believe what peeks my interest in Greece is the amazing design and structures; as a matter of fact, I enjoy their culture. Although there are still many things regarding Greece which we still don't know, nor likely ever will, I just find the subject very interesting in those aspects.

With that said, I also take great interest in the politics, which are still quite unknown yet debated. We learned that a lot of the time, they would drink in a surplus (probably) and debate political issues which would have to be solved. Besides that, we spoke shortly about our upcoming Test which will blow our Pop-Quiz away as far as points. And while I look forward to Rome, I honestly don't know enough about their culture like I did on Greece ahead of time to know whether or not I will enjoy the subject. Now, I will go and study briefly for my upcoming tests, including Western Civilization.

As discussed yesterday, we were instructed to write an essay question which would be used on the upcoming test. As a matter of fact, we were informed that our test (or at least part of it) is going to be during our class time this Thursday. Meaning we have a fair amount of time to study still; though, we expect to receive more information regarding the format of the test soon. Cyber Day; Post Nine

In light of yesterday's assignment, we were instructed today to reflect on our accountability throughout these times of social distancing. This includes: actively participating in social distancing, cleaning ourselves, and giving our best efforts to remain home. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that everyone takes these guidelines too seriously. I've seen plenty of people online going about their normal hangouts with large groups of friends, rather than distancing themselves to slow the spread. Weeks ago, we were struggling to perform tests. Now it seems that the FDA approval time has been expedited for the purpose of introducing faster COVID-19 testing kits as well as possible vaccines. There seems to be a lot of de-regulation occurring to allow businesses to survive in such a harsh time. Simply put, if no-ones out there spending money, the economy will not grow (or will have very little growth). As a student, I find myself more stressed out than usual since I'm locked

Today, rather than a deep analysis of a new subject, we were instead instructed to find two images of classical Greece Architecture. A subject which I truly enjoy learning about. Those images are posted directly below:  First Image: The Parthenon, Acropolis of Athens Likely one of the most recognizable structures in Greece would be the massive structure located on the hill of Acropolis, The Parthenon. This structure was likely created over an eleven-year span (447 BC - 438 BC) and was dedicated to the goddess Athena. The structure, incredibly after over 2,000 years still remains intact; though somewhat damaged from the years of exposure it's been put through. It is also important to realize that this structure stood as a symbol for the religions which the Greeks practiced since it represented one of their goddesses'.
