A Pop Quiz. Oh Boy

Today we took a pop quiz. No further comment on that. Besides that, we read a lot; in doing so I also need to improve not only my reading skills but my note-taking skills. That’s a really tough thing to do especially when I don’t even have the textbook. But luckily I was able to catch a few photos of the pages in my textbook so that I may continue my studies into the weekend. And while we were supposed to read about 6 pages, I was only able to read 3, which is probably because I’m trying to analyze everything and take it all in. I find that in doing so, I am able to understand my notes a lot more, but I need to take time to do that. Finally, we shorty discussed our next assessment, but this time a test. That test will likely be on Thursday so I will have plenty of time to study. In the meantime, I’m going to go over Mr. Schick's slide show presentation on his website then enjoy my weekend. And while I'm scared for the upcoming test, I'm certain that if I study using Quizlet, I will likely succeed in this test. Although Dan has made a Quizlet, I feel that if I go about doing one myself, I may retain the information a bit better for studying.

As discussed yesterday, we were instructed to write an essay question which would be used on the upcoming test. As a matter of fact, we were informed that our test (or at least part of it) is going to be during our class time this Thursday. Meaning we have a fair amount of time to study still; though, we expect to receive more information regarding the format of the test soon. Cyber Day; Post Nine

In light of yesterday's assignment, we were instructed today to reflect on our accountability throughout these times of social distancing. This includes: actively participating in social distancing, cleaning ourselves, and giving our best efforts to remain home. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that everyone takes these guidelines too seriously. I've seen plenty of people online going about their normal hangouts with large groups of friends, rather than distancing themselves to slow the spread. Weeks ago, we were struggling to perform tests. Now it seems that the FDA approval time has been expedited for the purpose of introducing faster COVID-19 testing kits as well as possible vaccines. There seems to be a lot of de-regulation occurring to allow businesses to survive in such a harsh time. Simply put, if no-ones out there spending money, the economy will not grow (or will have very little growth). As a student, I find myself more stressed out than usual since I'm locked

Today, rather than a deep analysis of a new subject, we were instead instructed to find two images of classical Greece Architecture. A subject which I truly enjoy learning about. Those images are posted directly below:  First Image: The Parthenon, Acropolis of Athens Likely one of the most recognizable structures in Greece would be the massive structure located on the hill of Acropolis, The Parthenon. This structure was likely created over an eleven-year span (447 BC - 438 BC) and was dedicated to the goddess Athena. The structure, incredibly after over 2,000 years still remains intact; though somewhat damaged from the years of exposure it's been put through. It is also important to realize that this structure stood as a symbol for the religions which the Greeks practiced since it represented one of their goddesses'.
